3/3/2010-Despite its best efforts to make a digital media merge fit, Viacom (NYSE:VIA) announced that it will remove “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “The Colbert Report” and other Comedy Central Television shows from Hulu next week. While Hulu and Viacom said they were parting ways on a friendly basis, the break-up represents the first major failure between TV show owners and the extremely popular internet video website. Losing Viacom’s content is a huge loss for Hulu, as “The Daily Show” was listed as the third most popular show on the site this past week.
