News Update: Lawyer for Ex-AIG Employees Said Company Unlawfully Withheld Pay Lawyers representing a group of former employees at American International Group's (NYSE:AIG) financial products unit expressed frustration Monday at the company's decision to hold back $21 million in bonuses, Dow Jones reported. AIG potentially risks paying out double the amount it withheld if it's found liable for violating applicable wage laws. “I'm disappointed with aig's decision to unlawfully withhold the earned compensation of the hardworking people at AIG,” said Andrew Goodstadt, an attorney who represents about a dozen former and current employees at aig's financial products unit. This division was responsible for the bad trades that precipitated the massive government rescue of the company in 2008. From: TradeTheTrend Views: 0 0 ratings Time: 01:03 More in News & Politics
