Earnings Report: Sotheby’s (NYSE:BID) Swings to $74 Million Quarterly Profit on Better Op Revenues
Sotheby’s (NYSE:BID) reported Q4 EPS of $1.09, topping consensus estimates of $0.67. Sales in the quarter rose by 31.4% year-over-year to $218.3 million, and came in ahead of consensus estimates of $201.1 million. “The momentum has continued into 2010. We have just held Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary Art sales in London which have been among our best ever, with both sales surpassing their high estimates by wide margins.
