Executives and guests of Columbus, Ga.-based Aflac Incorporated visited the New York Stock Exchange on Thurs., February 25 along with a famous white duck to celebrate the 10th birthday of the Aflac Duck. Last month the company announced that it met its earnings objective for the 20th straight year and increased the cash dividend for the 27th consecutive year. Chairman and CEO Dan Amos was recently ranked among the “Best ceos in America,” by Institutional Investor magazine. Mr. Amos was selected as one of Americas the Best CEO for the second consecutive year. This marks the fifth time Amos has appeared on the prestigious list. At the same time, Aflac Senior Vice President Ken Janke Jr. is included on the list of America’s Best Investor Relations Professionals and Aflac was named”Best Investor Relations Company selected by buy-side analysts. The recognition, according to Institutional Investor, credits companies that have navigated difficult times without compromising core values. To celebrate this special occasion, President and COO Paul Amos rang the Closing Bell.
